Praise and Thanks: Thanks to Raygan Lloyd for being so dufitful with her presence and support. I appreciate Raygan for exemplifying The Portrait element of "being  a team player who is committed to doing what is best for students. Thanks to Chantae Reynolds for enduring committment to building a sense of belonging for our ML students. This was most evident in her direct outreach to our families and inviting them to share a part of their cultural heritage for the Hispanic Heritage Month. This outreach will prove to be a game changer for our school culture at the Academy. I appreciate Chantae exemplifying the Portrait element of "being committed to using inclusive practices." Praise and Thanks: Thanks to Elif Erginer and Darron Daniels for visiting our former mini-Mountaineers at Mineral Springs Middle and Walkertown Middle. Their compassion for our kids is truly inspiring. I appreciate them demonstrating the Portrait of a Lab School Team Member Element of having "...  a  proactive and responsive nature." Thanks to Shuler Stemper for her continued commitment to our mini-Mountaineers. I observed Shuler demonstrate visible belief in our 1st Grade mini-Mountaineers during a Math Small Group Instruction.   Together: Innovation thrives in an environment where curiosity is nurtured, questions are celebrated, and 'Why not?' is the default response. I. Praise and Thanks:  I am grateful for the application of The Portrait of a Lab School Member from the following individuals. They demonstrated steps to grow our mini-Mountaineers in ways that inspired: Thanks to Brent Macrow, Alicia Kinzer, Emmy Anderson, Joy Hickman, and Caroline CasaSanta for demonstrating the Portrait element of  " Collaborate with colleagues to maximize our strengths." During their PLT on Friday, I observed their sharing of their new personalized learning pathway that they had created together. It was such an uplifting experience and I loved seeing the positive team interaction. Looking forward to their "Hike Higher" Personalized Learning Experience for students! In Memoriam:  In case you missed Chancellor Everts' important e-mail on Friday, App State mourns the sudden loss of Chancellor Kenneth Peacock. He served as a chancellor of the university from 2004 to 2014. His legacy for App State is too large to contain in this blog, but I am grateful we are connected to it in the work we do everyday for our mini-Mountaineers at the Academy.  II. Praise & Thanks: A very special Praise & Thanks to Liliana Martinez! She received a "Clinical Educator Shout Out" from Shuler Stemper. It is a well-deserved shoutout for Liliana. Both Liliana and Shuler exemplify the teamwork aspect of our Portrait of a Lab School Educator. I am grateful for their collaboration.
