II. Reminders and Updates:

A. LETRS Catch-Up This Week
  • Please be sure that you staying on pace with the LETRS Online Modules. 
  • Consult Heather Wham's emails on this. She has sent out the coverage schedule via email a few times. If you are covering for a teacher, please be sure to touch base with the teacher to verify times and classroom plans. 
  • The in-person LETRS Training is scheduled for November 16-17. 
B. PLTs and Open Way Learning This Week
  • Adam Haigler of Open Way Learning returns one last time this week for Vision/Mission Statement Work with us. 
  • PLTs this week will take place on Tuesday with Adam Haigler. He will then facilitate our Faculty Meeting on Tuesday.
  • Since we have 45-minute PLTs on Tuesdays during Specials, we will not have PLTs on Thursday. 
C. Commitment Pairs
  • Teachers are reminded to connect with their Commitment Pair Partner between now and November 22. 
  • Be sure to place your next step regarding lesson planning on the Padlet provided during our Teacher Workday Faculty Meeting.
D. Report Cards
  • Currently, I'm reviewing all report cards for accuracy, grammar, and fairness. 
  • Report Cards will go home with students on Thursday, November 10. 
E. For Your Toolbox
F. Solutions Building
  • I have not forgotten to re-schedule the Solutions Building Session on the master schedule. 
  • Stay tuned for a new date and time. 
G. WSFCS AP Visit
  • Selected Assistant Principals from various WSFCS schools will be in the building this Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. 
  • Dr. Julie Hasson of App State will be leading a training for them in our Media Center. The Media Center will be closed all day on Thursday due to this event. 
  • This is another step forward in the Academy's continued partnership with WSFCS.

  Today Is The First Day of Hispanic Heritage Month! I have a copy of the amazing picture book, The Astronaut With A Song For The Stars: The Story of Dr. Ellen Ochoa.  Please let me know if you would like for me to visit your classroom and read it to our students.
