• Thanks to everyone for being a hero for all of our mini-Mountaineers this week and every week! You are appreciated! Our mini-Mountaineers are lucky to have you on on their side! 
• Congratulations again to Cindy Hall on her upcoming retirement! We will miss this world changer for kids!

III. Reminders and Updates: 

A. Performance Management: 

• Please remember to complete the required self-appraisal by March 31st. 
• Check your email from the university regarding this task required for all App State employees. 

B. Google Calendar: 

• Remember to check the Academy Google Calendar for all school events. 
• Also, you can refer to the 22-23 School Events Document prepared by Kori Trainor here.

C. PLT Changes for the Week:

• Heather Wham had to adjust the PLT Calendar due to field trips and testing. 
• Please be sure you see her email communication on this if it applies to you as a teacher or if you are providing coverage for a teacher during the adjusted PLT times. 

D. #InstantPD

• We return this Thursday with another #InstantPD featuring Alix Shaver and Jean Carlos Garcia.
• Both Alix and Jean Carlos will share how they use Twitter as a platform for connecting with other educators around the world and use it for PD/classroom ideas. 
• #InstantPD is optional and all are invited to attend in the Front Lobby at 3:00 p.m. It's only 15 minutes and it's a fun, engaging time for all. 

E. Books and Buddies and Mad About Books! 

• As we continue with Mad About Books Month, we have a few fun opportunities coming up this week! 
• Books & Buddies is this Monday! The schedule is listed above and on the Academy Calendar. 
• Amie Snow sent details on Books & Buddies via email. 
• Also, we have Joint Morning Meeting with Elkin this Wednesday! We are having book talks during this time with our sister lab school. How exciting!
