III. Updates and Reminders:

A. June 12 Moving Day: 
  • Please be on the lookout for a schedule from Darron Daniels regarding moving on June 12. Mr. Daniels will also open the building on Saturday, June 10 for anyone opting to take extra time to move.
B. Faculty Meeting Presentation:

C. Master Schedule Feedback is due Monday, June 5. Click here to access feedback link. 

D. End of Year Activities Document: 
  • This document has a list of end of year dates and activities for your reference. 
  • There is also a link to grade level rostering spreadsheets in that document. 
E. Instructional Framework and Pacing:
  • If you are interested in participating in further work with the new Instructional Framework and Pacing Guide, then please click here and submit your interest by June 10th. 
F. Field Day

G. June 13 Lunch Order
  • We have a food truck coming on June 13th for lunch. This is the date for our full-day Co-Teaching Training.

  • Please have that payment taken care of by Friday, June 9th. Cost is $13.

  I. Praise and Thanks: Thanks to Kim Britt and Jessica Hill for integrating Music in their classroom. I heard joyful sounds from our Kinder students! I appreciate the intentional efforts to uplift and motivate our mini-Mountaineers.  Thanks to Carla Clayton and Ayden Tackett for their efforts with our Book Fair! I appreciate the teachable moment they provided to our students on how sales tax is figured in a purchase. What a great way to make learning relevant in support of our Math SIT Goal! II.   Today Is The First Day of Hispanic Heritage Month! I have a copy of the amazing picture book, The Astronaut With A Song For The Stars: The Story of Dr. Ellen Ochoa.  Please let me know if you would like for me to visit your classroom and read it to our students. It's a wonderful and inspiring book about an inspiring Space Pioneer.  See below for the book cover and a sample page from the book: I.
