I. Praise and Thanks:

Thanks to Vanessa Evans, Raygan Lloyd, and Jessica Hill for their collaborative work on the dessert bar. I appreciate their demonstration of The Portrait element of "collaborating with colleagues to maximize our strengths."
Thanks to Jada Baptist for always demonstrating a dedicated work ethic in support of our students. I always observe Jada having a positive sense of urgency to always be there for our kids whether it's for supervision or leading a small group. I appreciate Jada demonstrating The Portrait element of "being committed to punctual, present, resilient, and dependable."
Thanks to Carla Clayton for her willingness to push learning outside of her assigned space. I appreciate Carla for facilitating read alouds in our main lobby. I appreciate Carla demonstrating The Portrait element of "being willing to be a part of something different and innovative."

III. Updates and Reminders:

A. Travel Reimbursement: Important Reminder

Please remember to complete any and all travel reimbursements within 30 days. There are no exceptions to this. The App State Travel Office is monitoring the timeline on travel reimbursements very closely. Tim Walker from the App State Finance Office addressed in this person at the beginning of the school year when he did the staff training.

B. DIBELS Data Meetings:

Grade Span Teams are reminded that the next set of Data Meetings will take place on Monday, November 27 during planning meetings.
Teams are reminded to prepare accordingly and have the DIBELS Analysis Template completed.

C. Co-Teaching:

Remember that we have moved away this year from the one-teacher/one-classroom mindset.
Co-Teaching must be happening on a consistent basis. All students at The Academy are our kids regardless of homeroom assignment.
All teachers must be implementing our co-teaching models on a consistent basis as it aligns with standards and pacing.
With co-teaching comes co-planning. Please continue efforts to work together to grow all of our mini-Mountaineers.

D. EVAAS Teacher Meetings:

Teachers are reminded to be on the lookout for a calendar invitation on Individual Teacher Meetings for EVAAS.
All teachers who linked to 2022-23 EVAAS should have received an email with a link to accessing their respective individual teacher reports.
The purpose of the meetings is review and analyze the report and plan next steps with Sean Gaillard and Amie Snow.
These meetings will take place before Winter Break.

E. Required Mental Health Online Training:

The deadline to complete the next Vector module is this Thursday, November 30.
All Academy at Middle Fork employees are required to complete these important modules.
