The Academy Weekly Memo: January 8-12
I. Praise and Thanks:
- Thanks to Coach P. for going above and beyond the call of duty with the basketball goal construction. This truly exemplifies The Portrait element of "being a team player who is committed to doing what is best for students."
- Thanks to Kali Moore and Tiffany McKenzie for already making a positive impact with our mini-Mountaineers! I have seen them both exemplify the Portrait element of "meeting students relationally before trying to engage academically, seeing each child individually as a whole person, and recognizing their inherent dignity."
- Thanks to Chantae Reynolds for consistent support of our ML learners. She expertly balances relationships and instruction to build a sense of belonging for our students. Thankful that Chantae is demonstrating the Portrait element of "believing that all children can learn and should have equitable access to knowledge."
